Introduction To 2% Milk

2% milk has only been around since the 1950s. It was created with different fat contents to be a healthier means with less fat than drinking whole milk. A full glass of 2% milk contains 285 mg of calcium, making milk the leading source in an adults daily recommended intake. With so many health benefits to drinking milk, it is a wonder that more people do not drink a tall healthy glass of milk each day. Many people do not drink cow's milk of any percentage because they are lactose intolerant, meaning that their bodies do not hold dairy well, while others do not drink milk for moral reasons such as being a vegan, someone that does not drink or eat anything coming from an animal.
Although 2% milk is a better choice than drinking whole milk, it is not the best option out there because it is only reduced in fat, meaning that there is only two percent less fat than whole milk contains. It is recommended that toddlers drink 2% milk to help them fatten up as many are not an idea weight for how quickly they grow.
There has been extensive medical research on drinking milk and the benefits from it. One of the biggest benefits is that it reduces the risk of heart problems such as arterial deterioration, and coronary heart disease. Not to mention, it keeps you bones strong, which helps if you run into something- you will be less likely to break a bone, and if you do, it will heal faster.
For the ladies, milk is great in aiding nail growth as well as keeping teeth strong and hair growing long and beautiful. Muscle growth is more regular in people that drink milk as well. A research has also been done that proves women who drink 2% milk increase their fertility rate, making them more likely to conceive than women who do not drink milk.
