Unemployment is a major challenge confronting the world today as recent statistics have reflected the frustration and anger that millions of unemployed are facing on daily basis. In Nigeria, government has continuously made efforts at confronting the challenge by establishing agencies that are charged with the responsibility of alleviating poverty through employment generation. One of the agencies saddled with the responsibility of job creation in the country was the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) which was established in 1986 with the mandate of providing skills for the unemployed persons. -
