CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIESPerforming engineering duties in planning, designing of infrastructure facilities, such as roads, bridges, harbours, channels, etc
OTHER TYPICAL FUNCTION AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:Responsible for designing, constructing, maintaining structures that are safe and up to codeProgramming, Monitoring and Reporting worksWorks progress reportingConstructing resources planning and orderingExecuting of works comprising mainly of earthworks, concreting, and asphalting sometimes wet swampMaterials quantity control and variance check
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:HND or BSC, MSC in civil engineering with practical experience in civil engineering designs and construction with minimum of 4 years post NYSC experienceWorking knowledge of surveying will be an added advantageAbility to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, architectural drafting and design and develop finer accordance with the set guidelinesMust be familiar with AUTOCAD, knowledge of other civil engineering software would be an added advantageProfessional qualification is an added advantageProficiency in any civil/structural Engineering designs software is an added advantageProficiency in the use of Microsoft packages, internet etc
