HOW DOES THE ATS ROLE ADD VALUE?
The ATS is an Customer aligned Relationship Resource with the following core responsibilities:
1. Gather a 360° Customer Insight profile, incl. IO, IT and Application Platform, and the Partner and Competitive landscape.
2. Build Trusted Technology Relationships with the TDM, in particular with the CIO, CSO, CTO and their direct reports.
3. Drive Realized Platform Value, by driving a Deployment and Adoption Strategy, and orchestrating Resources from the STU (SSP/TSP), Microsoft Services and Partners for Execution.
4. Initiate Growth by Competitive Displacement, by building a qualified competitive pipeline, initiating Capability Led (IO) Conversations, supporting Application Platform (BGA/AGA) Engagements, and leveraging the Microsoft Account Planning process.
The ATS has 3 distinct sales motions:
1. Deployment: The ATS owns the Deployment Strategy, and drives a customer validated Deployment Plan, supported by STU, Microsoft Services and Partners.
2. Capability Led Selling (IO): The ATS initiates the IO Conversation (leveraging IO Discovery) as a Trusted Technology Relation to the TDM (in particular the CIO, CSO and CTO), and supports STU resources (SSP/TSP) in driving competitive opportunities.
3. Application Platform Selling (APO): The ATS supports Application Platform BGA and AGA engagements, owned and orchestrated by AM and SSP Platform.

The British Council in Nigeria is looking for suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join our team of IELTS Examiners.

OUTLINE:
Examiners conduct one to one interviews with IELTS candidates to assess their spoken English according to set requirements. Examiners also assess written scripts produced by candidates under exam conditions.
Examiners are recruited on a casual basis and are expected to examine at least ten sessions a year at regular intervals. Remuneration is paid per interview/script. Weekend working is usually required.
IELTS examinations regularly take place in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. Therefore, we are looking for examiners who live in, or within relatively easy reach of these cities. We may occasionally run examinations in other cities in Nigeria.You will need:
An undergraduate degree or a qualification which can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree.A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) / Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) / or recognised equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.*

Objectives of the position:
The Records Assistant is responsible for the management, security and chain-of-custody of evidentiary preservation of evidentiary and non-evidentiary documents received by the integrity and Anti-corruption Department. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with policies and procedures relating to records and documents storage. This individual will determine the relevance of documents and their correct processing methodology. The Records Assistant must be able to prioritize, handle and execute multiple assignments including designing and maintaining a reliable document tracking system.

Develop a filing, archiving and document tracking system to ensure that the work flow process and procedures are adhered to;
Ensure the highest level of quality in department evidence control, records completeness, work product management and accountability through periodic audits and quality assurance procedures;
Revise, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures with respect to records management, evidence handling policy, practices and procedures;
Scan and manage paper and electronic documents; uploading files to appropriate data repository;
Field and respond to status inquiries exercising good judgment in safeguarding of confidential or sensitive information.

National Bureau Of Statistics ( NBS ), 33 Million Nigerians Are Unemployed

Nigeria National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) - About 32.5million Nigerians are unemployed, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said.

The Statistician General of the Federation, Dr Yemi Kale, made this disclosure in his maiden press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja .

He said the figure was the latest as it was released in 2010 for 2011.

Dr Kale said the NBS had developed a system whereby the number of jobs created in the country would be known.

On inflation rate, the NBS boss said while all items stood at 9.4 per cent, last month, inflation was maintained at a single digit with Consumer Price Index (CPI) rising by 9.3 per cent year on year.

According to him,“the monthly change in the CPI was 1.67 per cent in July 2011. The all items year on year average consumer price level for urban and rural dwellers rose by 7.1 per cent and 11.1 per cent respectively. With respect to 12-month moving average, the CPI change is 11.6 per cent which is slightly lower than the figure in July which was 12 per cent.”

On food inflation, he said the average change in prices on a year on year was 8.7 per cent, 2.7 per cent on a month on month basis and 11.6 per cent on a 12-month moving average basis.

He stated further that, core inflation, which is all items less farm produce stood at 10.9 per cent on a year on year basis, 12 per cent on a 12-month moving average basis and 0.9 per cent on a month by month basis.

Dr Kale noted that agriculture remained the largest contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at 41.49 per cent in the second quarter compared to 42.32 per cent in the second quarter of 2010. Similarly, wholesale and retail trade account for 16.75 per cent.

He said crude petroleum and natural gas contributed to 14.84 per cent compared to 15.7 per cent and manufacturing contributed 3.91 per cent in the second quarter of 2011 compared to 3.93 per cent in the second quarter of 2010.
